What is the etiquette for changing realtors?

Currently, we are working with one realtor in a very small town. We would like to change realtors, but don’t want to offend anyone. We are renting at the moment (through the first realtor). Should I call the first and explain that I’ll be working with another company, or should I not say anything to her? Certainly in a small town, I don’t want to burn bridges.

If you have signed no agreement, only a phone call is made. However, since she has done work for you, please let her know as to why.

All Realtors have clients from time to time that decide to work with someone else, and getting that feedback lets you know what you can do to improve your skills.

If you are nice about it, she should not be offended.

To do what specifically? What’s wrong with the first one? Talk to all the local realtors and see who can do the most for you. Then simply go with the one who can best achieve your goals. If you are so afraid to offend then stay with the first one.
